UCF Recitals (Spring 2020)
NOTE: Because UCF Student Recitals are so numerous, they are not listed in the School of Performing Arts (SoPA) calendar. For that reason, this list of performance is provided for those interested in attending a recital on the UCF Campus to fulfil your concert report assignment. Please note the following about these student performances:
- All performance-oriented music majors are required to give public recitals in their junior and senior years as a demonstration of their achievements in their chosen areas of performance.
- These recitals are tentatively scheduled by junior and senior music majors, and a few graduate students, but do not become official events until about 2-3 weeks before the date of the performances, when each student passes a "jury" (a sample of the performance played before a committee of three music faculty, who approve the recital [or not]).
- Only after a student has passed a jury will publicity, chiefly in the form of individual signs, be posted around the PAC M Buildiing and perhaps elsewhere on campus.
- Beware that times for recitals may be changed to accommodate performers and their families, so double check posters for information.
- All Student Recitals--unless otherwise noted--are held in the REHEARSAL HALL (RH), located on the Mercury Circle, between the Honors College and the Washington Center (Student Store), near the new Trevor Colburn Hall.
- Note that most undergraduate recitals last about 30-45 minutes, while graduate recitals may extend to an hour or even a bit longer.
REMINDER: Recitals listed here are only the student events not included on the UCF Music Calendar. Be sure to check both places for events.
